FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I pay?
Once you make a booking, you will be sent an e-mail with bank account details. If you prefer, you will be able to send a cheque to the address given.

Where do the revision classes take place?
All Auckland based revision classes take place at Event Cinemas on Queen Street (next to Aotea Square). The Gold Class Cinema 3 is used for most classes

Why are the revision classes held at the Gold Class Cinema?
The Gold Class cinemas combine the big screen experience with a comfortable learning environment. Each seat has a fold-over tray which allows the student to write notes and draw diagrams.

Is there allocated seating?
No. Seats are filled on a first in first served basis, although the location of the seats is not important.

Is this a movie?
No. The presenters will be at the front of the theatre and the big screen is used to present the revision material. However, the presenters may show short video clips as part of the revision program.

What do I need for entry into the theatre?
You will be sent (via text) your ticket to the mobile phone number that you provided in the booking process. The text will give you details of which movie theatre will be used. You will need to show this to the usher to gain entry.

Can I bring food and drink into the theatre?
Yes – you are welcome to buy food from the candy bar and bring it in. Event Cinema’s policy is that only food purchased from the candy bar can be brought into the theatre.

Will there be breaks?
Yes. In general there will be short breaks every hour or so which will enable you to go to the toilet and / or visit the candy bar.

What do I need to bring?
Basic stationery equipment such as pens, ruler, and a calculator. You may also like to bring some paper for note-taking although revision materials will be handed out.

What time should I get there?
The doors will be open ten minutes before the designated start time. Make sure that you are seated and ready to go on time.

How big is the theatre?
The maximum capacity is 40 – therefore only 40 places are available for each session.

Will there be door sales?
No. All places must be reserved and paid for prior to the session.

What is the structure of each presentation?
Refer to the specific details for each session. All sessions are designed to be interactive and provide a high quality revision experience.

Can I bring questions to the session?
If the revision presentation does not cover your specific presentation, your course fee includes email access to your presenters from the day of the session up to the day of the exam which will allow you to ask any questions you need to.

How would I send in work to be marked?
Via e-mail. The best way is to handwrite them (as you would do in an exam) and then scan them. However, typed essays are fine.

Is it possible to organise extra tutoring?
  This is possible, but expensive!
Email: admin@bigscreeneducation.co.nz to discuss this further.
